ClearDeed ("the app") is a personal mortgage-payoff planning and tracking tool published by NGN Consulting Corp. This policy explains what the app does, and does not, do with your information.
Nothing is sent to us. ClearDeed does not have user accounts, does not require sign-up, and does not connect to your bank or any financial institution. Every number you enter — your mortgage balance, HELOC details, income, and bills — is stored only in a local database on your own phone. NGN Consulting Corp. cannot see, access, or receive any of this information, because the app never transmits it. If you have Android's device backup turned on, Android may include the app's data in your own Google account backup, the same as other apps on your phone; that copy is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
ClearDeed does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics, or any other tracking technology — in the app or on this website.
ClearDeed can save your plan and your Monthly True-Up history to a backup file, only when you ask it to. You choose where that file goes, using Android’s own tools: the system folder picker (for example Downloads or Documents on your phone) or the system share screen (for example your own Google Drive, or an email to yourself). NGN Consulting Corp. never uploads backups, never receives them, and has no copy or custody of them; you are responsible for keeping the file somewhere safe. The file is a standard, unencrypted file that contains the numbers you entered, so store it somewhere only you can access. Restoring a backup replaces the plan on the phone you restore it to.
ClearDeed offers an optional one-time purchase and an optional yearly subscription, processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details — that is handled by Google under its own privacy policy. ClearDeed only stores, locally on your device, which of its purchases you have (the one-time Full analysis, an active Tracking subscription, or neither). Purchases, purchase tokens and their verification are handled directly between your device and Google Play under Google’s Privacy Policy; ClearDeed has no servers and sends no purchase information to NGN Consulting Corp.
The only third-party service involved in using ClearDeed is Google Play Billing, for processing optional purchases. ClearDeed contains no advertising, no analytics software, and no crash-reporting service as of this version. If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google on your device, Google Play may collect crash and performance information about apps, including ClearDeed, under Google’s own privacy policy; that data goes to Google, not to us.
ClearDeed asks Android for only three permissions: internet access and network state, so Google Play Billing can reach Google Play, and the Google Play billing permission itself. It does not request access to your storage, photos, contacts, location, camera, microphone or notifications. Saving and opening backup files uses Android’s system file picker and share screen, which need no permission and only touch the file you choose.
We keep no copy of your data, so there is nothing for you to ask us to delete. Uninstalling ClearDeed, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes its data from your phone; if you use Android's device backup, you can delete any backed-up copy from your Google account settings.
We do not sell or share your personal information — for money, for cross-context behavioral advertising, or for any other purpose — because we never receive it.
Privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation give people rights to know, access, correct, delete or move personal information a business holds about them, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because NGN Consulting Corp. does not collect, store or receive your personal or financial information, we hold no records about you to disclose, correct or delete. You keep full control of your data on your own device: you can change it in the app, delete it by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling, and manage any Android backup copy in your Google account. You are still welcome to contact us with any privacy question or request at the address below.
Do Not Track: because neither the app nor this website tracks you, there is no tracking for a “Do Not Track” browser signal to turn off, and both behave the same whether or not one is sent.
ClearDeed is not directed at children and is not designed for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and in any case the app collects no information from anyone at all, as described above.
All of ClearDeed’s calculations run on your phone. Its projections are estimates, not financial advice or a guarantee of any outcome; see the Terms and Conditions for the full disclaimer.
